Pioneering Trophy Truck builders recognized for more than three decades of innovation, craftsmanship, and race-winning success that helped define modern desert racing

PHOENIX, AZ / LAS VEGAS, NV — Rick and Jeff Geiser, the brothers behind Geiser Bros Design & Development, will be inducted into the Off-Road Motorsports Hall of Fame as members of the Class of 2026. The induction ceremony takes place Sunday, November 1, 2026, at the South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa in Las Vegas during the Off-Road Motorsports Hall of Fame Induction and Awards Gala.

For more than 30 years, Rick and Jeff Geiser have shaped Trophy Truck racing through innovative chassis design, relentless craftsmanship, and a commitment to helping racers succeed at the highest levels of desert competition. Founded in 1995 in Phoenix, Arizona, Geiser Bros Design & Development has produced more Trophy Trucks than any other manufacturer in the sport’s history. The company has built approximately 94–95 race chassis (with chassis #95 under construction) along with 19 luxury pre-runners that compete across Baja, the American desert, Australia, and beyond.

The brothers’ passion for off-road began early. Both raced dirt bikes before moving into Honda Odyssey competition in the 1980s. Rick gained experience working at Foddrill’s, while Jeff worked under respected figures including Steve McEachern and Walker Evans. After a serious accident brought Jeff back to Phoenix to help Rick recover, the pair launched their own shop and quickly established themselves as the benchmark builders in Trophy Truck racing.

Geiser-built trucks have become synonymous with victory. They have delivered wins and championships across major series including SCORE International and Best in the Desert, with victories in landmark events such as the Baja 1000, Baja 500, Mint 400, Parker 425, San Felipe 250, Vegas to Reno, and many others. Elite drivers including Andy and Scott McMillin, Bryce Menzies, Gus and Tavo Vildósola, Rob MacCachren, Robby Gordon, Jesse Jones, and others have raced Geiser chassis to major successes.

One of the most notable championship runs came with Carlos “Apdaly” Lopez and the RPM Racing team. Driving a Geiser Brothers-built Chevy Rally Truck, Lopez captured three consecutive SCORE Trophy Truck championships from 2015 to 2017—the first Mexican national to win the title—and sealed the three-peat with an overall victory at the 50th SCORE Baja 1000 in 2017.

Beyond sheer volume of builds and race results, the Geisers have driven key technical advances. They designed the first modern all-wheel-drive Trophy Truck, which scored the first overall victory by a four-wheel-drive Trophy Truck at the 2016 Parker 425. They later developed the world’s first twin-engine Trophy Truck. Equally important, they transformed the privateer experience by offering complete race-program support—vehicle preparation, logistics, pit coordination, and race-day operations—giving independent teams professional-level equipment and expertise previously limited to well-funded factory efforts.

Their contributions have been recognized with 14 SCORE Off-Roadsman honors, including multiple awards for Truck Chassis Manufacturer of the Year, Mechanic of the Year, and Team Manager of the Year.

“This honor represents more than the trucks built and races won,” the company stated. “It recognizes a lifetime dedicated to the sport, the people, and the off-road community that has made the journey possible.”

Rick and Jeff Geiser join a distinguished Class of 2026 that also includes Tom Allen, Dominic Clark, Jessi Combs, Kenny Freeman, Ricky Johnson, and Jerry McDonald. The induction celebrates their lasting impact as innovators, builders, mentors, and central figures in the evolution of Trophy Truck racing.
